Smoresoft sudoku terminates on launch (V1.7)

Hi there,

I have a Eten X500 running Windows Mobile 6 (OS 5.2.318 build 15342.0.0.0) installed sudoku (1.7) on the memory card, played the trial pack, registered, played some from the easy pack, made my own and I only had a few issues (smoresoft sudoku terminating unexpectedly, but picking up work where I left it before the crash)

The other night as I was doing a sudoku I accidently pushed the "home" button on my smart phone, and smoersoft sudoku went bananas. I got an "Application error" dialog, and the program terminated.

Whenever I try to launch smoresoft sudoku I get the same error dialog and the program terminates.

Here is the content of the Smoresoft.Sudoku.exe.log file (some of it is in Danish, but says something like "A error message can not be shown, since a nonmandatory resource collection, containing the errormessage, was not found.")

I deleted the "owner.config" and re-registered, now I'm able to play again.

Didn't solve the original problem, but it's good enough for now.

Actually I didn't delete the "owner.config" I just renamed it, so if you want it for debug purpose I can mail it to you.

Hi Theo,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for finding a temporary solution.  This can happen if the owner.config file is 0 bytes.  (Let me know if the renamed owner.config is > 0 bytes and you still have the problem.)

This will be fixed in version 1.8.

I had the same problem on HTC S730. I first installed the soft again, did not help. Then I found this post. I renamed the owner file. I could start the program again. But I did not need to register. I can open and use all the packs I loaded before. There is now a new owner file with non zero size. Anyway thx for the tip.
